TDMS Profiler 1.2 (Topographic Data Management System) is an ArcView 3.x extension that provides an effective environment for a user to create profiles against a contour theme. Features of this product include:
 

Outputs from TDMS-Profiler include a shapefile of profiles and a text file of the profile geometry, a shapefile and text of station elevation points, channel geometry text file and a channel profile lengths text file
 

With these outputs. a user can llink up any given profile to visualize the station elevation data computed along the profile, import the text file into MS-Excel for post-formatting and import the results directly into the HEC-RES hydrological model
 

It requires no further commercial extensions to generate elevation data outputs.
 

New in Version 1.2 is the functionality to support a multi-theme contour source. Contour data structured as 'intermediate' and 'index' layers can be used and users no longer have to pre-process their data to gain the value of TDMS-Profiler
 

Future development include support for other elevation sources and other output file formats.
